The Grinnell girls had everything working for them on Monday night in Boone. They recorded season highs in corners, shots, and goals, as well as season lows for goals conceded and shots. Ivey Schmidt had an outstanding game, scoring 3 very nicely taken goals. The first one was another banger that found soared into the side netting from the right side of the box. Kiana Kies, Payal Patel, and Sydney Miller also recorded their first goals of the season. The Tigers weren’t just good at finishing though, they got good performances out of everyone who played. Mary Blanchard, ValiJo Hauersperger, and Lauren Pease were rock-solid in the back, Bridget Blanchard, Makenna Smith, and Anya Latham controlled the midfield, Kayla Sieck ran the left flank, Taegan Glass played great up top, and Isabelle Reding and Beula Lee were perfect between the sticks. Grinnell hopes to carry the momentum from this win into their home contest on Thursday against Carlisle.
