The Tiger girls picked up another conference win with a 69-47 home victory against Oskaloosa. The win improved their record to 14-3 overall and 10-0 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.
Leading the way for Grinnell was sophomore Ivey Schmidt with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists. Sophomore Meredith McKnight followed with 17 points, 2 boards and 2 steals. Senior Sarah Gosselink was next with 11 points, 7 boards, 2 steals and 2 assists. Freshman Haidyn Hull finished with 6 points, 5 boards, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks. Freshmen Leah Harris and Kelsey Van Compernolle each had 5 points. Leah also had 3 steals and 2 rebounds while Kelsey finished with 2 rebounds to along with their points. Senior Kylee Neighbors had 3 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 assists. Freshman Taylor Vanderleest rounded out the scoring for Grinnell with 2 points. Senior McKenna McKnight pulled down 5 boards and dished out 7 assists.
Next up for the Tigers is a home game tonight against Indianola. Tip time for the JV is 4:45 and Varsity to follow at 6:15.
