Girls Varsity Swimming · Girls Swimming and Diving finishes 3rd place at Little Hawkeye Conference Meet

  Place Points
Grinnell Community High School 3rd 225

The GHS girls swimming and diving team participated in the 2018 Little Hawkeye conference meet and placed third over all. The teams in the meet included: Indianola (which is Indianola and Knoxville), NCMP (Newton, Colfax-Mingo, Pella), Oskaloosa and Grinnell. Indianola and NCMP have teams that are multiple schools combined and therefore the number of swimmers is about twice or more of the size of Grinnell. I was very pleased with how we placed against Oskaloosa and the times that we achieved. It was great to see the divers, sprinters, and distance swimmers all show improvement. That is exactly what I want to see at the end of the season. I am so excited to see what this team can achieve in the regional meet, our next meet, on Thursday, October 25th (diving) and Saturday, October 27th (swimming) both in Grinnell.
