Report for Grinnell Middle School Wrestling away at Montezuma:

The middle school tiger wrestlers competed against Montezuma, HLV, Lynnville-Sully, Belle Plaine, Tri-county, North Mahaska and Iowa Valley teams this evening. The young middle school grapplers were able to post 16 wins and 20 losses with 15 of our wins coming by way of pin. The attitude of the night was up and down with some wrestlers having a disappointing performance, some dominating and still others continuing to improve from last Tuesday. The attitude of aggression and setting a competitive pace continues to be the challenge for our young group overall. The challenges we are facing begin and end in our own minds.

The wrestlers included for the one pin club for the night were Joe Prior (1-1); Dominick Clayton(1-2); Brayden Graff(1-1); Ray Walker (1-1) and Teylor Doty(1-0).

The two pin club for the night were Blaine Kriegel(2-1); Oliver Louden(2-1); Dylan Heater(2-0); Levi Druliner(2-0) and Nathan Stringfellow(2-1).

The Dominator award goes to the wrestlers who won all their matches for the night by either pin, points or combination of both. The Dominators for the night were three young men that as 7th graders are paving the way for the next generation of Tiger wrestlers. They are Dylan Heater, Levi Druliner and Teylor Doty. Great job guys, way to be aggressive!!!

Other scores for the night were: Skylar Green(1-1); Aundraya Hernandez(0-3); Daryl Nusbaum(0-2); Theren Arends(0-1); Xavier Moyes(0-2) and Tyler Adrian(0-3).

We will have yet another quick turnaround from wrestling tonight to wrestling Monday; however we are confident the wrestlers will represent well. The next opportunity to watch the young tiger wrestlers will be this coming Monday, December 3rd as we host BGM, Knoxville and Norwalk at our final home wrestling meet of the year. The start time will be 4:30p. Come out and support our TIGER WRESTLERS!!!
