Grinnell moves on to the regional semi-final against Independence at Independence next Tuesday the 23rd after a first round win over Waterloo East.
The Tigers started slow but fought back to win the first set 25-23. Then in the second set the Tigers started strong and stayed strong to win the second set 25-17. The third set saw the Tigers start slow again and couldn’t put it all together and lost the third set 18-25. Then the Tigers came on strong the fourth set and kept rolling even through an injury and having to play a with a totally different lineup with a couple people playing in positions they haven’t played all year, and took the set and the match with a 25-14 win.
The Tigers did a great job fighting through adversity and working together to come up with the win!
