The Tigers moved to 4-2 on the season with a convincing 38-10 win over visiting Knoxville Friday night on Homecoming. The Tigers started slow, falling behind 7-0 after the first quarter. The Tigers found the scoreboard in the 2nd quarter on a 30 yard touchdown pass from Dallas Sauser to Cole McGriff. Mads Knudsen added the PAT to tie the game at 7. Later in the 2nd quarter Sauser hit AJ Wilkins for a 41 yard completion down to the 1. Wyatt Hunter ran it in from there. The 3rd quarter saw the Tigers dominate on both sides of the ball. Wyatt Hunter started the scoring with an 84 yard touchdown run. On the next drive Sauser connected with Hunter for a 51 yard gain, setting up Hunter for another rushing TD. The Tigers closed out their scoring on touchdown passes from Sauser to Hunter, and one to Owen Coffman. After the first drive of the game, the Tigers defense shut down Knoxville, limiting them to 3 points the rest of the way. Eli Rose led the Tigers with 10 tackles, Logan Astelle 7. Astelle also had an interception. Offensively, Sauser finished with 238 yards passing and 3 touchdowns. Wyatt Hunter had another strong game offensively, rushing for 192 yards to go along with 92 yards receiving. The Tigers play at home Friday in a big game against Newton.
